The Junior Copywriter at Bridges is the Swiss Army Knife of the entire agency. They are able to craft long-form or short-form content for new clients and unfamiliar businesses or industries — sometimes, unfortunately, under very tight deadlines or with minimal information.
While the Junior Copywriter doesn’t have to know everything right out of the gate, they do need to exhibit an insatiable curiosity for finding the answers — and creating killer written work.
Bridges Strategies is a growth agency focusing on digital marketing and RevOps based in Oklahoma City. The Junior Copywriter will be expected to deliver great work, build strong client and team relationships and more while upholding these values.
Write a variety of longer-form digital work including: blogs, case studies, decks, websites, speeches, press releases, scripts, podcasts, one-pagers, print and traditional sales collateral and more as needed
Write a variety of social media posts for all the major social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and other emerging platforms
The ability to understand a creative brief and translate it into polished written work
The ability to adapt to incredibly fast-paced deliverable turnarounds
The ability to work on multiple deliverables for different clients simultaneously while keeping an eye on deadlines
The ability to receive feedback and implement it with a positive attitude
A willingness to learn and grow
Exemplary writing skills and a formal understanding of the mechanics of U.S. English
Not being afraid to ask questions — but with a willingness to do research to find the answers
Demonstrated ability to understand a client’s business needs and translate it into copywriting
Strong interest in technology, digital marketing and emerging trends
Ability to balance and meet (sometimes fast-paced) deadlines
Experience with using data to tell stories, shape narratives and inform decisions
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Organized and detail oriented
Positive, professional team player who takes ownership of tasks and who seeks and accepts other responsibilities
Experience working with internal teams across a variety of functions including creative, content, interactive, data, media and creative operations
2+ years of relevant marketing, PR, or advertising agency experience
1+ Years of experience in writing, social media writing, and/or copywriting
Experience using Google Enterprise suite, Mac, and Grammarly
Comfortable working with Project Management tools (we use ClickUp)
AP Style Guide experience a plus
Experience with SEO strategy a plus
Experience with Inbound Marketing and HubSpot a plus
